SYDNEY, April 3 AAP - Main stories in ABC's World Today

* The Solomon Islands are experiencing after-shock tremors which haven't sparked a
tsunami warning. The death toll is estimated at about 20.

* Prime Minister John Howard has hit back at criticism by the European Union over Australia's
failure to ratify the Kyoto agreement. The prime minister says the European Union does
not have the higher moral ground on the issue because many European countries are well
behind their Kyoto targets.

* The United States Supreme Court has delivered a rebuke to the Bush administration
over climate change. The Supreme Court found greenhouse gases are pollutants and has ordered
the Environment Protection Agency to consider regulating the emissions from new cars and
trucks.
