Vic: Flight Training Schools under media seige
Flight schools at Melbourne's Moorabbin airport are under media siege after reports
that a suspected suicide pilot trained there four years ago.
Receptionists at the 30 or so flight schools say they've been fielding calls from international
and Australian journalists since yesterday afternoon.
Moorabbin airport, in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs, handles light recreational
and commercial air traffic and is considered one of Australia's busiest air traffic areas.
Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD has confirmed that MOHAMMED AFROZ, a 28-year-old from Mumbai,
took flying lessons at the airport in 1997 and 1998.
AFROZ appeared in an Indian court yesterday charged with waging war against the nation of India.
